About Us

Gazzetti is above all a “place of taste” where the passion for good food and the rediscovery of the values of local gastronomic tradition come together in perfect harmony.

We are in Sassuolo, in the heart of the Emilia region, a heaven of food delights including Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, and a crossroads of culture and traditions passed down in time.

In these years, our passion for simple and genuine food and the pride of the unique flavours of the Emilia region have stimulated us to offer a selection of artisan products made according to ancient processes and traditions.

Our products are for food lovers and connoisseurs that wish to enjoy flavours and tastes of times gone by or that wish to make a gift of local natural and genuine products, with the guarantee of being satisfied.

History

For Lino Gazzetti, born in 1932, cheese making was much more than a job, it’s a passion! Lino and his wife Maude dedicated their life to the production of excellent Parmigiano Reggiano. The dairy farm was in Montefiorino, in the Modenese Apennines, where the cows grazed freely in the fields and produced milk with a richer and intense flavour; this milk was used to produce a cheese with unique nuances of flavour.

Loris, one of the three sons grew up among the scents and aromas of this product, which is one of the main traditional products of the Emilia region; just like his parents he has the passion for this type of cheese.

In the 80s the Gazzetti family left the cheese making business but its passion for Parmigiano cheese was still strong. They moved to Sassuolo and opened “La Casa del Formaggio”, a shop of delicacies and a meeting point for local food lovers and gourmets.

Today Loris, with his wife Morena, pursue with great passion the business of selecting and selling Parmigiano Reggiano in their shop now called “Gazzetti – Values and Tradition”; they also offer other delicious traditional local products.
